I recommend the new book EYEWITNESS TO POWER: The Essence of Leadership by David Gergen. I found it a very insightful and balanced look at the leadership strengths and weaknesses of the Presidents with whom Mr. Gergen served. David Gergen served with four Presidents from Nixon to Clinton.
This is not a "kiss and tell" book about the inner workings of the White House but a solid overview of leadership styles. He provides first hand examples that I found both interesting and relevant.
Even though you may not agree with all of David Gergen's political views, I believe you will find this book a great resource to add to your leadership library.
